Dear Family of Jesus,
Good Morning!!!
Thanks for stopping by for a CUP!
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:8
I love this posted by Pastor Brenton Franks on his Facebook…….
There are a lot of conflicting views in our world and voices and opinions looking for oxygen and motivation, but truth is only found in knowing and listening to God. Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (NKJV)
What a beautiful morning we awoke to! We got some rain here on the Westside at the Moede ranch!
Nice and cool this morning also! Thank YOU LORD!
WOW! I was blown away in the Holy Spirit yesterday at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo. Sharon could not go because she was sick, please pray for her. The Holy Spirit is moving so strong in this Church and outside it’s walls!
The Praise and Worship led by Pastor Kevin is at a high level! The most Holy Spirit filled Praise and Worship I have ever been around..This is why Sharon and I love to go to the Lighthouse! Pastor Kevin and the other members, like Kevin’s Dad, my Dear Dear friends Jeanell and her husband JR………and the other members are just AMAZING! Kevin plays the keyboard while he sings and preaches!!
By the time it was for me to deliver the message I had prepared the Holy Spirit told me to leave my sermon in the pew! I had worked all week on it….but we must be obedient to the Spirit of God!
God knows the needs of the people in the pew’s…..He wanted my message to meet those needs!
I asked the question, “What lie is Satan having you believe about yourself?”
I asked folks to raise their hands and share………….it was very quiet………I asked again…..
What lie is Satan telling you about yourself?
Then the hands began to come up……….people needed prayer………….they needed to be touched and hugged…….they need to be prayed over………anointed with oil………
Around 250 people were present for the service and many also came to lay their hands on their hurting friends.
People shared about their cancer, other illnesses, family problems, many other challenges. Everything from pornography, shyness……….to I miss my Grandpa.
I went right into the pews………..I did not wait for the people to come to me, I went to them……all led by the Holy Spirit.
More stayed for prayer after.
Picture this in your mind please………The Holy Spirit moving and people melting under the Power of the Holy Spirit taking a bulldozer to their problems and shoving them out of their body and dealing with it.
The Holy Spirit moved in a powerful way……..the Praise and Worship before the message raised the level of Worship and Praise to an AWESOME level and the Holy Spirit moved in in a Mighty Way! AMEN!
I was always told by my Uncle Joe…the Lord will give you the Words……..and I left my sermon in the Pew………..and God gave His message……..that Satan has been defeated and we have won, may the Blood of Jesus be over all of you this day and all days..
The Lighthouse Church is a very special place……..people making themselves vulnerable in the Lord and sharing their challenges so all can be specific in their prayers for them and friends laying their hands on them while I anointed them with oil and prayed over them……….
It is a very special place……pastor Kevin said as he wrapped up the service……there is Freedom in this place……..AMEN! PRAISE GOD! There certainly is freedom at the Lighthouse in Chimayo……..such a wonderful CLEAN feeling in the Lord, Freedom to make yourself vulnerable…………
Everyone has a challenge………..It is a beautiful thing when the Body of Christ can come together and pray over those needs and you see the Holy Spirit moving to meet those needs.
I praise God for Pastor Kevin and all at the Lighthouse, it is a very special place of God.
After the service I went to pray for Karen a young lady who is bedridden, please pray for super natural healing for Karen……..She looked me right in the eye and was trying to talk to me. Right now she cannot walk or talk. I believe she is being healed. Please pray with me for complete healing for our new friend.
As the Lord moves I may share other stories from this visit.
I thank the Lord on how He is blessing me and Sharon as we go out………..and Preach and pray!
This morning I pray the Blood of Jesus Christ over all of you………….
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood……for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. Lev. 17:11
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Eph 1:7
“….that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” Hebrews 2:14
There were revivals in Rio Rancho and Belen this past weekend. I Preached in Rio Rancho Saturday. Babara Gould gave a good report from Rio Rancho fro God’s Glory Alone, as she said! and I talked with Pastor Richard Garcia by phone yesterday on the way up to Chimayo and he said the Revival in Belen was AMAZING!!!! PRAISE GOD!
Let us pray for Ruby Wells who is struggling since her last brain surgery. Please pray for complete healing.

August 6, 2012. In our church service today, a prophetic word came that God was healing a problem with being vain. Another word was that God was healing veins and vanity with power-like energy from a lightning strike. I realized God was speaking to me about vanity. Have you heard of deveining a shrimp? The Lord said to me, “You are feeling humiliated with the weight of your vanity. Because of vanity you are attempting to do things beyond your present ability and resources. You are overly determined to redeem the years and accomplish the impossible. Humble yourself and receive the deveining of your vanity. Confess your sin.” I did. Do you have an issue with vanity?

August 6, 2012. I wanted to have a Bible Study in my home with lost and unchurched people. I planned to invite people after a neighborhood tennis tournament. My partner and I beat the best players in the club. After the match while being congratulated I bent over to tie my shoe and one who lost poured the rest of her can of beer on my head. I was later told the reason the Bible Study was such a success was the way I reacted as the can of beer was being poured. “Your present testing is for the good reward which will come. I know it is hard but you will pass.”
Hebrews 11:17-19 (NLT) “It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.” “Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead.” Bev Robinson

August 6, 2012. Even though you get knocked down sometimes, you have not been nor ever will be defeated. Holy Spirit dwells deep within your heart enabling you to be more than a conqueror. You have been equipped to be resilient when hard times surround you. Remember tough times don’t last, but tough people do. Over two thousand years ago the enemy of your soul thought he had Me knocked out. He still believes he can defeat you. Choose decisively to live above the fray. Embrace exclusively who I say you are! Discipline yourself to know Me intimately. Meditate and practice scripture. Submit to what God says and see His glory revealed!
Ephesians 6:10 (NASB) “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.” Kevin Robinson
Let me share this with you……..Last week as I told you my first Boss in Radio passed away……..Oscar Halverson…….I talked to his Son David the other day and we exchanged wonderful stories of his Dad. Oscar lived a Godly life. What will our Obituary look like?

August 4, 2012. Blessed are you if you had or have an earthly father who taught and instructed concerning God and life. From my father, I learned mostly by watching and following him. My son and daughter knew their mother and I were committed to God, His church and our neighbors. When they were teenagers, they were taught to read their Bibles in the mornings and come to breakfast with something they would like to share. Both of them, their mates and their children follow the Lord in like manner. My heart overflows with joyful praise. Fathers today have every opportunity to raise godly children who walk in faith and love. May you be blessed as you do so. The time is now.
Proverbs 4:1-2 (NASB) “Hear, O sons, the instruction of a father, and give attention that you may gain understanding, for I give you sound teaching; Do not abandon my instruction.” Ras Robinson

August 4, 2012. I see and know your heart. Nothing is hidden from Me. You know that and it gives you great comfort. You are not trying to hide. You want everything laid bare before Me. You want to do My will and have no desire to go your own way. This brings Me great pleasure. We are on the same frequency. The concern is you think you heard Me, but the way it is now doesn’t seem to be working. Remember you have an enemy the devil who is fighting you at every turn, because your heart and mind is set to do My will. Don’t give up. My plan will soon emerge.

August 4, 2012. On Thursday, August 2nd, we experienced a full moon. On August 31st, we’ll have another full moon. The second full moon in one month is known as a “blue moon” This is where the saying “once in a blue moon” comes from, which is a way of saying it does not occur very often. The Lord says, “Though this event does not happen very often, it is sign for you to accomplish My purposes and plans. Get yourself in line with My calendar. Institute My order within your heart. I am serious about finishing what I started. Align your ways with My ways. Can you wrap your mind around what I am accomplishing?”
Isaiah 55:7-9 (NKJV) “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; And to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.”For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Kevin Robinson
here is Doctor Joe………
Few things feel more terrifying and random than a stroke, which can strike without warning. And fear of stroke—when a blood vessel in or leading to the brain bursts or is blocked by a blood clot, starving brain cells of oxygen and nutrients—is well founded. After all, stroke is the number-three killer in the U.S., affecting more than 700,000 people each year.
Here are five foods that cause the damage that leads to a stroke…
Muffins, doughnuts, chips, crackers, and many other baked goods are high in trans fats, which are hydrogenated oils popular with commercial bakeries because they stay solid at room temperature, so the products don’t require refrigeration. Also listed on labels as “partially hydrogenated” or hydrogenated oils, trans fats are found in all kinds of snack foods, frozen foods, and baked goods, including salad dressings, microwave popcorn, stuffing mixes, frozen tater tots and French fries, cake mixes, and whipped toppings. They’re also what makes margarine stay in a solid cube. The worst offenders are fried fast foods such as onion rings, French fries, and fried chicken.
Why it’s bad: For years scientists have known trans fats are dangerous artery-blockers, upping the concentrations of lipids and bad cholesterol in the blood and lowering good cholesterol. Now we can add stroke to the list of dangers. This year researchers at the University of North Carolina found that women who ate 7 grams of trans fat each day — about the amount in two doughnuts or half a serving of French fries—had 30 percent more strokes (the ischemic type, caused by blocked blood flow to the brain) than women who ate just 1 gram a day. Another recent study, also in women, found that trans fats promoted inflammation and higher levels of C-reactive protein, which have been linked to an increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, and stroke.
What to do: Aim to limit trans fats to no more than 1 or 2 grams a day — and preferably none. Avoid fast-food French fries and other fried menu items and study packaged food labels closely. Even better, bake your own cookies, cakes, and other snacks. When you can’t, search out “health-food” alternative snacks, such as Terra brand potato chips and traditional whole grain crackers such as those made by Finn, Wasa, AkMak, Ryvita, and Lavasch.
Whether your weakness is pastrami, sausage, hot dogs, bacon, or a smoked turkey sandwich, the word from the experts is: Watch out.
Why it’s bad: Smoked and processed meats are nasty contributors to stroke risk in two ways: The preserving processes leave them packed with sodium, but even worse are the preservatives used to keep processed meats from going bad. Sodium nitrate and nitrite have been shown by researchers to directly damage blood vessels, causing arteries to harden and narrow. And of course damaged, overly narrow blood vessels are exactly what you don’t want if you fear stroke.
Many studies have linked processed meats to coronary artery disease (CAD); one meta-analysis in the journal Circulation calculated a 42-percent increase in coronary heart disease for those who eat one serving of processed meat a day. Stroke is not the only concern for salami fans; cancer journals have reported numerous studies in the past few years showing that consumption of cured and smoked meats is linked with increased risk of diabetes and higher incidences of numerous types of cancer, including leukemia.
What to do: If a smoked turkey or ham sandwich is your lunch of choice, try to vary your diet, switching to tuna, peanut butter, or other choices several days a week. Or cook turkey and chicken yourself and slice it thin for sandwiches.
Although replacing sugary drinks with diet soda seems like a smart solution for keeping weight down—a heart-healthy goal—it turns out diet soda is likely a major bad guy when it comes to stroke.
Why it’s bad: People who drink a diet soda a day may up their stroke risk by 48%. A Columbia University study presented at the American Stroke Association’s 2011 International Stroke Conference followed 2,500 people ages 40 and older and found that daily diet soda drinkers had 60% more strokes, heart attacks, and coronary artery disease than those who didn’t drink diet soda. Researchers don’t know exactly how diet soda ups stroke risk—and are following up with further studies—but nutritionists are cautioning anyone concerned about stroke to cut out diet soda pop.
What to do: Substitute more filtered water for soda in your daily diet. It’s the healthiest thirst-quencher by far. If you don’t like water, put several squirts of lemon or lime in it.
The respected journal Stroke published a study showing that women who consumed a large portion of red meat each day had a 42% higher incidence of stroke, it got nutrition experts talking. The information that red meat, with its high saturated fat content, isn’t healthy for those looking to prevent heart disease and stroke wasn’t exactly news. But the percentage increase (almost 50%!) was both startling and solid; the researchers arrived at their finding after following 35,000 Swedish women for ten years.
Why it’s bad: Researchers have long known that the saturated fat in red meat raises the risk of stroke and heart disease by gradually clogging arteries with a buildup of protein plaques. Now it turns out that hemoglobin, the ingredient that gives red meat its high iron content, may pose a specific danger when it comes to stroke. Researchers are investigating whether blood becomes thicker and more viscous as a result of the consumption of so-called heme iron, specifically upping the chance of strokes.
What to do: Aim to substitute more poultry—particularly white meat—and fish, which are low in heme iron, for red meat. Also, choose the heart-healthiest sources of protein whenever you can, especially beans, legumes, nuts, tofu, and nonfat dairy. Purchase your red meat from sources that specialize in grass fed, hormone free beef.
Whether it’s canned soup, canned spaghetti, or healthy-sounding frozen dinners, prepared foods and mixes rely on sodium to increase flavor and make processed foods taste fresher. Canned soup is cited by nutritionists as the worst offender; one can of canned chicken noodle soup contains more than 1,100 mg of sodium, while many other varieties, from clam chowder to simple tomato, have between 450 and 800 mg per serving. Compare that to the American Heart and Stroke Association’s recommendation of less than 1,500 mg of sodium daily and you’ll see the problem. In fact, a nutritionist-led campaign, the National Salt Reduction Initiative, calls on food companies to reduce the salt content in canned soup and other products by 20% in the next two years.
Why it’s bad: Salt, or sodium as it’s called on food labels, directly affects stroke risk. In one recent study, people who consumed more than 4,000 mg of sodium daily had more than double the risk of stroke compared to those who ate 2,000 mg or less. Yet the Centers for Disease Control estimate that most Americans eat close to 3,500 mg of sodium per day. Studies show that sodium raises blood pressure, the primary causative factor for stroke. And be warned: Sodium wears many tricky disguises, which allow it to hide in all sorts of foods that we don’t necessarily think of as salty. Some common, safe-sounding ingredients that really mean salt:
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- MSG (monosodium glutamate)
- Disodium phosphate
- Sodium alginate
What to do: Make your own homemade soups and entrees, then freeze individual serving-sized portions. Buy low-sodium varieties, but read labels carefully, since not all products marked “low sodium” live up to that promise.
Thank you Dr. Joe!
